Bed filters connecting and starting up
Filter placing
The filters should be spaced according to the following requirements:
- Filters should be located as close to the drain system as possible.
- There should be enough room near a filter for maintenance purposes.
Connect the feed water and the drain to the filters.
The filter connection is disassembled using the standard mounting kit.
Connect the source water tube to the input connector of the bypass valve. Connect the reject filtrate tube to the output connector. The directions of source water flow and filtrate are shown by arrows on the valve
For MLS type filters only. Unscrew the lock nut of the drain line fitting. Replace the installed DLFC rubber washer (drain line flow restrictor) with the washer supplied with the filter. Reinstall fitting.
Connect the hose to the drain line fitting. Fix it with a hose clamp. Route the other end of the hose down the drain.
IMPORTANT: do not attach the drain hose directly to the drain tube. Ensure that an air gap between the line and drain point is present, it will prevent back suction from the drain. The best way to do it is to place the hose in a drain tee.
For SFS type filters only. Connect the hose to the brine tank overflow choke, сlamp it. Route the other end of the hose down to the drain
Adjustment of the filter control valves
To set the control valve correctly, please study the manual!

MLS filter start up
Supply the source water to the filter by gently opening the source water supply valve.
As all air is purged from the container, open fully the source water valve.
As flushing is complete, re-flush the filter.
SFS filter startup
Fill the filter housing with the tap water. Wait for saturation of the regeneration solution (3-6 hours).
Press the button on the control valve to start the regeneration mode.
Supply the source water to the filter by gently opening the valve on the source water supply line
When all air has been removed from the container, open the source water tap fully.
When flushing is complete, re-flush the filter
