Quick-disconnect connector working sequence
Besides the equipment with standard screwed joint, the Aqualab units include hydraulic elements with collet “quick-connect” connectors.
These elements are connected to each other with a flexible tube of appropriate diameter. The following sizes of flexible tubes are used in the Aqualab units and as piping of extra equipment:

Connect the tube to the fitting.

Taking the tube out of the fitting.
Make sure the line is depressurized. Press the collet ring to the fitting and take the tube out without changing its position.

Use a sharp office knife or a special tool (tube cutter) to cut the flexible tubes.
Do not use nipper pliers or scissors to cut the tubes. They make irregular fractures on the tubes that can cause leaks.
