Washing and sanitizing of storage system tanks
Sanitization of the storage system tank should be performed after a long period of non-use, in case of high level of microbiological contamination of the filtrate at the storage system outlet, and as routine at least once a year under continuous operation.
It is recommended to treat the storage system with special disinfectants certified for medical use. It is recommended to dilute the reagents to obtain a solution for the treatment of the external surfaces and equipment (proportions are given in the disinfectant instructions).
Be sure to follow the safety regulations when working with disinfectant reagents!
Filling the tank.
Fill the storage system tank in 1/5 of volume with reverse osmosis permeate. It can happen when the HC7 “To storage system” connector of the desalination module and the storage system “Inlet” connector are connected by a flexible tube.
Power off the storage system and disconnect the flexible tubing from the desalination module.
Washing solution preparation.
Unscrew the lid from the tank.
Add required quantity of reagent to the tank, mix the solution.
Mechanical cleaning.
Brush the tank inside with a plastic brush.
Washing solution discharge.
Discharge the washing solution and formed sediment together through the “Drain” connector. The ball valve for the “Drain” connector is inside the stand.
Mechanical re-cleaning.
Fill the storage system tank in 1/5 of volume with reverse osmosis permeate. Perform mechanical re-cleaning without chemicals. Empty the tank.
Circulation of washing solution.
Fill the tank with reverse osmosis permeate to the level at which the outermost bottom float of the level sensor (mounted inside the tank) is raised to the stop.
If there is no pump in the storage system, proceed to the “Flushing with permeate” step.
Connect the storage system “In” and “Out” connectors using a flexible tube.
Add the required amount of reagent to the tank, mix the solution. Connect the storage system to the 220 V power line, power up, turn the switch to the position “On” and the pump will start out. Perform solution circulating for 30 minutes.
Discharge the washing solution.
Rinse with permeate.
Fill the tank with permeate and drain the flushing water through the “Drain” and “Out” connectors at least three times
